This is a minority
religion originally from Persia. They represent reminiscences of an
extinct culture. After migration to India, it has undergone process
of internal changes. It has also influenced in turn the process of social
change in Indian society. As on today they are an ethno-religious minority
in India living on the West Coast of the sub-continent. in general and
Bombay in particular. Even though they are in infinitesimally small
proportion in Indian population( 0.001%), they occupy extraordinary
position in the modern history of the nation. Their role in economic,
social and political scenario makes them one of the most interesting
of ethnic groups.
